Episode Context

As the first of twelve episodes, this premiere is pure foundation, introducing Issei's world, personality, and key figures like Rias Gremory before the supernatural elements take over. Everything here feeds directly into Episode 2, 'I'm Done Being Human!', where the show pivots hard from comedy into its core supernatural premise. Consider this the calm before a very dramatic storm.
