This episode mainly focuses on the main antagonist and his mission (which doesn't seem too intimidating), so lots more dialogue. Nothing was boring though, it was all interesting but it felt like it was all mainly setting the scene for what's to come.

Looks like we have the big bad of the anime showed up in this episode. His aim on why he do this can be a little bit of cliche I would say for the main antagonist.

Episode Context

Sitting at the two-thirds point of a 12-episode season, Episode 8 builds directly on the escalating threats Yuri and Mayuko confronted in Episode 7, deepening their partnership under extreme pressure. This is a pivotal mid-to-late-season chapter where character transformations accelerate and the survival stakes tighten considerably. It sets the stage for Episode 9, 'Which Of Us Will Live a Cool Life?,' where the consequences of these escalations begin to crystallize heading into the final act.
