Thrust into a surreal world of interconnected skyscrapers, a high school student must fight masked killers to survive and unravel the mysteries of this deadly environment.

📖 SYNOPSIS

One moment she's a regular 16-year-old, and the next, Yuri Honjou suddenly wakes up in a world made entirely of skyscrapers connected by suspension bridges — no ground, no escape, no explanation. Oh, and there are masked figures with axes trying to kill everyone. Within minutes of arriving, she witnesses someone get their skull split open, and it only gets worse from there. Her one lifeline is learning that her brother Rika is somewhere in this nightmare too, so she sets out to find him while trying not to die in the process. The setting itself is what makes this ONA stand out — this maze of rooftops and bridges feels both wide open and suffocating at the same time, and you never know what's waiting on the next building over. The masked attackers aren't just mindless killers either; there's something deeper going on with them that the series slowly peels back, adding a genuine mystery layer underneath all the blood and chaos. If you liked the death-game tension of Darwin's Game or the brutal survival stakes of Btooom!, this hits a similar nerve. It also carries some of that same dark, disorienting energy as Gantz, where nothing quite makes sense and the violence feels deliberately uncomfortable. At 12 episodes on Netflix, it moves fast and doesn't waste time getting into the action. Fair warning though — the gore is not subtle, and the show leans into its horror elements hard. It's dark, it's messy, and it doesn't hold your hand.

✨ MUST WATCH IF...

You're into survival death-game setups with masked killers across interconnected skyscrapers
A strong female lead who adapts and fights back in brutal situations appeals to you
You want a quick 12-episode binge — fast-paced action with minimal downtime
Gore-heavy horror anime with mystery elements is your comfort zone

❌ SKIP IF...

You need well-developed characters — the rushed pacing leaves most of the cast pretty thin
Zero-G's inconsistent animation quality and oddly bright color palette will bug you
You'd rather read the manga — it covers this material with way more depth and detail
