QUICK TAKES

Really cool to see Shion in action and learn more about his backstory. It did feel a little bit repetitive as most anime scenes do in fights where the characters kind of repeat the same line, "you're insane" "how many times will i have to kill you", etc.

Shion's backstory is quietly beautiful and gives his fighting style real context. Nurugai's emotional moment near the end is genuinely touching. One of the more heartfelt episodes in the whole season.

A battle fueled by vengeance gives way to a heartfelt backstory, along with powerful character development showing a bond forged through hardship. The fight choreography is strong, though it's the emotional weight that makes this episode stand out.

A quite emotional episode, including flashbacks, story and intense fights on thr brink of death

The Backstory was really heartbreaking, and the guilt made him go all-in extreme against Zhu Jin. i really bad for it, but it was a great episode tbh!

Backstory of shion is really heartbreaking plus the guilt that he carry over Tenza's death make him go all out on attrition battle against Zhu jin. What a great episode!

This episode took character development in an unexpected direction. Between master and pupil, the way they handled the relationship was really complicated but well presented.

Amazing episode. Shion's background has always been interesting and watching it be elaborated here felt really fitting. It definitely felt like his last moments and was really tense. The conclusion was also well deserved and really hopeful!

This episode mainly focused on the cliffhanger from the last episode with Zhu Jin and Shion, and didn't really add much of the other fights like they did in previous episode by switching between different battles.

Nurugai and Shion's bond is so heartwarming to watch; both support and give each other new outlooks in this episode. Nurugai's character work was great as well; it felt like watching her progress in real time.
