Dang! I almost got to see Hua Cheng! I feel so giddy while watching it. The backstory was kind of understandable where the hatred is coming from and Millestone really cares for his people.

More detailed plot line of Ban Yue Arc here. Why things happened, the gods relationships, etc. AND one of my fav Hualian moments of S1 ♥️

Episode Context

Picking up directly from the ominous developments of Episode 8's 'Foreboding Wind in the Ancient Country,' this episode pushes deeper into the Banyue arc's most consequential territory, peeling back layers on its central figures' histories and motivations. As Episode 9 of 11, it functions as the penultimate escalation point, bridging the arc's buildup with the revelations promised in the following 'Bygone Banyue Days.' This is where the season pivots from tension-building to payoff setup, making it essential viewing for the finale stretch.
