This one is all about lore and stakes. It might feel a bit heavy on explanations, but the world-building here is crucial and actually pretty fascinating.

The animation never fails to amaze me. I love the details, the way the angle flows right to the art of the characters. The highlight of their divine skills and of course, Hua Cheng’s powerful skill is so COOL. And I can't help but giggle when they met!

Creo que este es el capitulo más divertido de la historia hasta ahora. Hua Cheng se roba por completo la escena apenas aparece y también es un tramposo terrible, pero su química con Xie Lian está increíble. Retomamos un misterio!

Episode Context

Directly following Jun Wu's mission assignment in Episode 1, this episode escalates the stakes by dropping Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan into the heart of Ghost City, the environment that will likely serve as a crucible for the season's central conflicts. It's an essential world-building and character-positioning episode early in a 12-episode run, laying groundwork for the challenges, alliances, and revelations that subsequent episodes will build upon.
