This is good to wrap up the finale season. The overall animation is great, the lore was kind of heavy and emotional. I think the storytelling and the connections of each lore needs recognition because it was PEAK.

A soft, emotional landing rather than a huge explosive finale. It’s more about connection than spectacle.

Kinda sad that Hua Cheng had to leave Xie Lian this episode TOTI was really hoping he’d stay until the end and that final scene honestly made me tear up.

Episode Context

As the twelfth and final episode of Season 2, this follows the emotionally devastating 'A Sad Parting Under Moonlight' and serves less as a climactic resolution and more as a contemplative coda that deepens character motivations and relationships. It addresses the fallout from the season's escalating conflicts while deliberately leaving threads open, functioning as both a conclusion to this chapter and a bridge toward future story developments. For viewers who tracked the season's progression from mystery and action into increasingly personal territory, this finale crystallizes that trajectory into its most intimate form.
