I'm so happy to see that finally Hinata can feel calmer. It's so satisfying seeing Kageyama's precise tosses and a perfect strike from Hinata that surprised everyone in the room. Tanaka is a really funny guy too lol!

Karasuno and Aoba Jousai’s match-up seems pretty intense. The comedy is thrown bluntly, but it feels good to shake off the flow. Audiences learn about debut pressure through this episode. The game rules are explained nicely. A warm take on the old teammates of Kageyama.

It was so satisfying to see everyone shocked by Kageyama and Hinata’s quick set. Watching their teamwork come alive in a real match made the moment even more rewarding and exciting.

Episode Context

The first five episodes established Karasuno's internal conflicts, Hinata and Kageyama's rivalry, the fractured team chemistry, and individual insecurities like those explored in 'A Coward's Anxiety.' Episode 6 is the critical pivot from inward struggle to outward competition, forcing the team to channel their messy development into actual results against Aoba Johsai. This practice match lays the groundwork for one of the season's key rivalries and benchmarks where Karasuno stands heading into the longer competitive arc ahead.
