EPISODE REVIEWS
YAMAGUCHI MY BABY. i cannot believe how much i feel every time this boy steps up. tsukishima's words in this episode made me tear up and i was absolutely not prepared for that. this show is impossible to watch without caring deeply about every single person on screen, all of them are my babies
yamaguchi's arc from anxious bench player to reliable contributor is handled without overstatement or heavy dramatization. the episode trusts the execution to land the emotional beat rather than underlining it excessively. that restraint is consistent with how haikyu handles payoffs and makes them hit harder.
yamaguchi finally delivering when it matters mosr is everything i needed from this arc, so proud of u tadashi. and tsukishima saying what he said to him nearly took me completely out. this team's growth since season 1 hits totally different when you actually see it pay off in a moment like this.
