Okay episode. It wasn’t particularly good or bad. The story was pretty predictable overall. There were also a few decisions in the episode that felt a bit questionable to me.

Episode Context

Coming off the breezy summer-focused Episode 7, Episode 8 marks a clear tonal pivot, this is where the season stops playing it safe and starts asking its characters harder questions. At the two-thirds mark of a 12-episode run, it's precisely the right moment for the show to deepen its emotional stakes before the final act accelerates. What Haibara and Hoshimiya reveal here will likely shape the decisions and tensions that carry through to the finale.
