📖 SYNOPSIS
In a seemingly idyllic world, the Mud Whale, a floating island, traverses an endless sea of sand. The inhabitants, including 14-year-old archivist Chakuro, possess saimia, unique powers that tragically shorten their lives. Their society is isolated, and they've never encountered anyone outside their own community.
Chakuro's life takes an unexpected turn when he explores an island as large as the Mud Whale and meets a girl. This encounter challenges his understanding of the world and the limitations of his people's existence. The series explores themes of isolation, the burden of power, and the search for truth within a seemingly perfect society, hinting at a deeper mystery surrounding the Mud Whale and its inhabitants.
