Children of the Whales

What an ending! The conclusion ties everything together. The anime beautifully sets up a new era of global discovery. I also want to point on how beautifully the anime honour's the grief of the island. Gonna miss the watercolour-like animations fs. Thank You J.C. Staff!

This episode feels like a fever dream. The only way I can describe what happens is a transformation to the island. There's also loads of lore-drop, so hang tight for a brief history lesson on Falaina. Can't wait for the finale!

This feels like the turning point of the anime. The characters aren't just only surviving, they're making new discoveries as well. It looks like there's hope after all for the final arc.

Once again, we see another cultural ritual done by the people of the Mud Whale. It is a beautiful scene, but the reason for it is so sad. There is also another major shift in the political world. Looking forward to the next episode!

Ginshu :')) Also, this is undoubtedly THE BEST episode in terms of animation. J.C. Staff really worked hard on this one. I like how we're given the perspective of both Skylos and Falaina. It also comes to show the emotional toll death takes on a person. You win, but at what cost?

I was only chanting one thing throughout this episode. FIGHT BACK, FIGHT BACK! The intensity and desperation was so vivid, I really am rooting for them. It also shows how fast-paced decisions have to be done when you're on the battlefield.

This episode was morally sad, as society is now forced to "harden their heart" and "adapt to reality". Morally, everyone knows it is wrong, but what else are you supposed to do in a situation like this? I find it admirable, ad I think it is an absolutely necessary and bold decision. I also like how the show does ot romantisize this transition (as most anime would) but rather shows the harsh reality of it.

i really like this episode, as it shows the honourable trait of defiance (ironic, I know). As a current member of the younger generation myself, I really like how the youths do not just comply with the norms of society, but is smart and 'woke' to the true nature of the elders. I'm rooting for y'all!

This episode made me cry (and not a lot of anime does that). It shows the aftermath of it all, and how society is forced to deal with the abrupt changes. We also learn about the cultural rituals of the Mud Whale, while also watch the changes in the politics.

We continue on from the cliffhanger from Episode 2. This episode just solidifies how intense and dystopian Chakuro's world is. Society is also forced into an abrupt but much needed awakening. It truly is an aesthetically bittersweet episode.

What a twist! The initial 'calm' vibes I had from Episode 1 flushed away. This anime is on some serious business! The beautiful colors of the anime (almost watercolor-like) paired with the scary status quo and emotional conflict seen in this episode had me at the edge of my seat. I am excited to see what happens next!

It's pretty okay I love the visual and the concept! There’s a lot of information being thrown at us at once, which can feel a bit overwhelming but I'm intrigued by the world building.

The trial in this episode felt kind of ridiculous honestly. Orka blaming his subordinates and somehow still managing to twist things in his favour with the judges

It was nice the first few episodes but the plot seems all over the place now? But it's still decent overall I love the BGM though

Honestly, there’s just so much death happening and some of it comes so suddenly. Overall the visuals are still beautiful :)

I'm glad Ginshu is still alive please don't take away best girl :') The animation in this episode was also amazing, especially that hand scene, beautifully done and kind of haunting in a good way.

Me gustó mucho el anime en general, la trama, la ambientación y la animación, pero este último episodio no lo sentí como final de temporada. Se revelaron muchas cosas y hubo un desarrollo acorde a ellas, pero insisto, no me pareció un final de temporada. Quizá lo que esperaba, ocurra más adelante en la historia. Siento que que para lo que fue toda la temporada, esperaba un poco más de acción y dramatismo para este episodio, lo que no significa que haya sido malo. Al contrario, a pesar de todo, quiero ver más, pero es una lástima que no se haya seguido animando.

Liontari is seriously getting on my nerves, I can’t stand him at this point lol. But the singing scene was beautiful.

I honestly thought those girls were going to end up being bullies, so it was a pleasant surprise to see how kind they actually were. I judged too quickly lol. We also get to see a bit of Ouni's childhood this episode.

I'm glad some of the elders are still willing to think for themselves instead of blindly following everything they're told. Neri is still such a mystery too. Ouni stepping up and giving everyone that final push of courage was such a great moment. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters
