Gunslinger Girl Episode 3: Ragazzo (Boy)

Another beautiful episode. Despite the kids being used as assassins, that is not the major focus (so far). This time it was focused on Rico. The way her story/role was introduced and expanded upon, from start to end, was really poetic. Poetic, yet it evokes a melancholic feeling at the same time.

Rico debe investigar el hotel donde se quedará la próxima víctima de la agencia y conoce a un chico. Aquí conocemos un poco más sobre esta compañera de Henrietta. Y gracias a este episodio creo entender por qué las chicas reciben un trato tan frío.

This episode introduces Rico and her story, showing how difficult and unfair the adult world can be, especially for children who are forced to carry responsibilities they should never have to face. It also touches on the dark side of government organizations, reminding us that even good institutions can have hidden problems behind the scenes.I usually don't enjoy dark stories, but I really like this anime because it feels like the creators put a lot of thought and research into the world and characters, making the story feel believable and engaging.
