So I was expecting this show to be a highschool slice of life with a twist of war but the war and action felt like a minor subplot. The war wasn't really much of a threat here and I felt like they have just forgotten about it. They are much more focused on the small, personal moments of our characters and how they cope during this war but that was just too boring for me especially considering the fact that they are drafted soldiers.

Giving this an 8.5/10. Don't expect non stop action here because it's mostly high school slice of life but with a super interesting end of the world atmosphere mixed in. Anyways, good anime.

So overall.. If you are looking for an action-packed strategic-military mecha anime... This is not it.. It is more like a student life with mecha on the side.. A love story.. Even this final episode did not offer any of the promised mecha-alien battle.. So dissappointed.
