EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

A deliberate, atmospheric setup episode that trades the isolated dread of the City of Silver for the shadowy corridors of Backlund's aristocratic underworld. The tone is investigative and conspiratorial, a political thriller wrapped in occult tension. Alger Wilson brings urgent danger to the Tarot Club's table, while Klein Moretti orchestrates a high-stakes exchange that pulls Audrey Hall and her ever-present Susie into the operation. Pacing is methodical rather than action-driven, rewarding fans who enjoy covert planning, uneasy alliances, and layered character dynamics. Fors Wall, Xio Derecha, Derrick, and Glaint all factor into the ensemble. The episode's central appeal is watching the Tarot Club function as a coordinated unit for the first time, making it essential viewing despite withholding a climax.
