It was the first ep with continuity on a history instead of it ending on just one, some attacks were great added with all the emotion, I´m glad Yajiro finally did something.

A whimsical but surprisingly dangerous combat concept. The visual direction explodes with bright reds and pinks as Mikan uses her highly explosive carnival props. The animators blend playful, bouncy movement with high-stakes tension, making the floating balloon traps feel like a genuinely creative aerial hazard

This episode is Grenadier at its most ridiculous and most awesome. The bullet-chain-reaction shot is one of the most insane feats of marksmanship in anime history. It's the kind of moment that makes you forgive all the fanservice nonsense.

Episode Context

Following the explosive confrontation in Episode 5, 'Explosion! Kensousen, Kurenai Touka,' this episode uses the aftermath as a springboard to expand the cast with Mikan's introduction, adding a new layer to the ongoing journey. At the halfway mark of a 12-episode series, it functions as a tonal reset that broadens the world without derailing the forward momentum. It directly sets the stage for Episode 7, 'Destination Tento,' suggesting the crew's path is becoming clearer even as new complications arrive.
