Episode Context

Coming off the previous episode's high-stakes contemplation around Shuichi's place in Bad Luck, 'Song and Song' shifts the focus toward Yuki's internal world and the external pressures threatening both him and his connection with Shuichi. Sitting at episode 8 of 13, this is the season's emotional midpoint deepening, the relationship dynamics established early are now being tested in more serious ways. It directly sets up 'The Deepest Brain,' suggesting the fallout from these mounting pressures is far from resolved.
