the visual production remains distinctly average, avoiding 'powerpoint' territory but lacking any real flair. the humor continues to rely on bizarre situational comedy and meta references.

the art and animation are pretty standard, but the random evangelion reference caught me so off guard it is incredibly stupid but so fun to watch

BRO WHAT THE HELL TS SO WEIRD Aside from the fact that it is completely stupid, the Evangelion reference had me actually laughing out loud

Friends ponder over the past, and everyone at the diving shop indulged in a king’s game. It’s funny how Kohei and Iori manage to bottle things up. The shopping experience makes this episode different from the rest. It introduces diving gear to us, which is a great thematic thing

The game is absolute peak comedy- the pacing is fine and the atmosphere shifts perfectly from high-energy chaos to those "oh no" realizations! It’s easily one of the funniest episode😂

A lot of drinking this episode too. Sooo many beers. On the diving side, great to receive some information overload. An enjoyable episode that effectively blended technical insights about the gear and comedy.

Everything escalates again—misunderstandings, lies, and straight-up chaos collide perfectly. The pacing is wild but controlled, and the jokes just keep stacking. It leans heavily into absurdity, but at this point, that’s exactly why it works 😭

The Truth or Dare game was basically a battlefield where no one left with their dignity intact. Watching Iori and Kohei try to manipulate the questions to make each other look like losers, only for the girls to turn the tables and ask about their true feeling for Chisa, Pure Peak

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the spirited drinking antics of 'Men's Cocktails' in episode 8, this episode deepens the group's interpersonal dynamics while shifting the season into trip-preparation mode. As episode 9 of 12, it marks the transition point between the college-life comedy and the anticipated Okinawa arc, making the character bonding here feel purposeful rather than incidental. The mixer and its fallout directly set the stage for 'Arrival in Okinawa,' where the season's final stretch kicks into gear.
