The animation is quite good; however, I felt the quality was inconsistent. Some scenes had weak animation lines, as if they were still in the drafting stage, while others had amazing flow. Meanwhile, Gran felt like a one-dimensional white knight who busts into action without thinking why he should be in the action in the first place. I hope this is addressed soon, because Gran seems either too chivalrous or too stupid.
