Granblue Fantasy: The Animation

I literally had no idea what was going on in this episode. They basically genderbent the main character and turned this into a beach episode. This anime is truly just an advertisement for the game. Thankfully, this is just an extra episode, because it would be really annoying if this were the last and ended on a confusing note.

This episode was an effective way to bombard viewers with random characters, but it was a high-key advertisement for the game it was adapted from, only to never see a deeper background on these characters because they're gonna add more new characters in the next episode.

This episode allowed us to see more of Lyria's psyche and how she views the world and the people around her. She first came off as being one-dimensional, but this episode cleared some of those inklings I've had with her.

Things are finally having a serious turn in this anime. This episode gave more background on Lyria, making her more like a sympathetic character than before.

Genuinely, nothing important happened in the first 90% of this episode. Although this episode focused on visual world-building, it also introduced entertaining side characters. I guess they just wanted to build the main characters' relationships in this episode.

This was a filler episode; you can skip this if you're here for the plot, but if you just want some eye candy and see two new cute girls, feel free to watch.

The crew literally "power of friendship"-ed out of the Primal Beasts this episode. At first, I thought the flashback scene wasn't smoothly integrated, but the content was wholesome, so I gave it a pass. Honestly didn't expect a Whitney Houston song quoted to me in an anime, but it is where we are.

It seems like they're just adding new characters to the cast without fleshing out the ones already in it. Io was annoying right off the bat when she was introduced, though it's because she seems like a tsundere archetype, maybe that's why. Or perhaps she's just rude.

I know this anime is based on a game, so they're trying their best to incorporate the rich game lore, but it seems they're always falling back on info dumping, and it's not an enjoyable watch. It feels like things are going the way they are because it's convenient, not because there's a good reason why they should.

We're getting a bit more background on Rackam, and he seems like a reliable guy, though he seems like a dude who's easily peer-pressured into breaking his word.

As always, the fight scenes are a sight to behold in this anime. They lowered the info dumping, so this episode was a bit more enjoyable than the previous one. Still, they're focusing on world-building, so it can get a bit too much, but not enough on plot progression.

This is the world-building episode, so they basically info-dumped everything that's going on in this anime to set the ground. I think the execution could be better, but it's interesting enough.

Ending yang realistis dan bikin adem, terasa tenang. Di sini juga visualnya benar-benar dimanjakan banget. Overall bagus dan jadi penasaran sama kelanjutan perjalanan mereka.

Dimulai dengan riak yang tenang dan menyenangkan, lalu diakhiri dengan hal yang mengejutkan. Tetap seru, tetap penasaran, dan visual episode ini bagus banget.

Menarik banget episode ini karena ada petualangan baru. Ada momen-momen kocak dan lucu, tapi overall seru banget.

Di episode kali ini ceritanya lebih mendalam dan emosional, sebagai lanjutan dari episode sebelumnya. Tetap seru karena masih banyak petualangan yang bakal mereka hadapin. Jadi nggak sabar ke episode berikutnya.

Seru episodenya karena konfliknya makin jelas dan makin menegangkan. Lebih mengenalkan dunianya juga, jadi petualangannya makin menarik.
