📖 SYNOPSIS

Half a century before the story begins, a martial arts leader named Murong Qiong built an entire demon sect to fight back an apocalyptic force called "chaos" — and still lost. Then a divine messenger named Yi Zhihua showed up, handed everyone demonization techniques like candy, and they actually won. Problem is, the messenger bounced, the techniques spread everywhere, and now the martial arts world is arguably worse off than before. Murong Qiong, the guy who started all of this, just walks away. That's where this 10-episode ONA from studio BYMENT picks up — in the aftermath, where power without guidance has made everything messy and the people left in charge aren't exactly trustworthy. His former subordinate Yu Huabing seizes the opportunity, and things spiral from there. The show has this interesting demonization power system that feels fresh — it's not just "get stronger, punch harder," there are real costs and the story actually cares about what happens when dangerous abilities get democratized. The animation blends traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern techniques in a way that gives the fight choreography a distinct look, and the soundtrack pulls its weight during the action scenes. If you liked the wuxia politics and moral ambiguity of Noble Aspirations or the swordplay drama of Seven Swordsmen, this covers similar ground with a tighter episode count. It's action-packed but introspective enough to stick with you between episodes.
