📖 SYNOPSIS
"Golden Time" depicts the plight of a long-serving, furniture-style television set. This relic of the 1960s, designed to blend seamlessly into a home's decor, finds itself discarded in a junkyard during the economic bubble of 1980s Japan. The film centers on the television's struggle for survival and its desire to break free from its new, desolate environment. The animation, produced by ROBOT, the company behind the Academy Award-winning short "La Maison en Petits Cubes," explores themes of obsolescence, the passage of time, and the inherent value of objects. The film won an Excellence Award at the 2013 Japan Media Arts Festival.
