Great return to what makes GK, GK, and a worthwhile watch. The curveball action and appealing animation keep your eyes locked in as our duo battles forward. Parallel running stories create tension for everyone and new characters are winding the path to the treasure even more.

This opening episode does a great job pulling you back into the story while raising the tension immediately. The shift in setting and situation feels fresh, but still grounded in what makes Golden Kamuy unique.
