QUICK TAKES

The comedy was the highlight this time. It kept building on Nakamura's lovable awkwardness. The direction and facial expressions sell the jokes well.

Everything was so unhinged and it’s making me laugh nonstop. Nakamura’s reaction definitely feels so real. Like that's probably the right reaction irl. And I love the progress between them.

Visually, it’s hilarious to see Nakamura lurking in the corners, seething with jealousy. And it’s funny that he calls the girl from the occult club "weird," considering he’s a weirdo himself

holy water???? IM DYING
this whole ep is a fever dream

Go for it. Nakamura!!!!

Good

EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off Episode 3, where Nakamura began actively reckoning with his feelings for Hirose, Episode 4 deepens that internal conflict by introducing jealousy and self-doubt as new emotional obstacles. The appearance of Hirose's childhood friend and the wildcard presence of Aokiyama Reiko expand the supporting cast and complicate Nakamura's already shaky confidence. This episode functions as a transitional chapter — consolidating early-season character dynamics while planting seeds for the relationship developments that will define the back half of the series.
