Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! Episode 4: The Miraculous Magical Holy Water!!

Nakamura Okuto dreams of a perfect friendship with Hirose Aiki amidst a field of pink flowers, a fantasy lifted directly from his BL manga. This idyllic vision of holding hands and shared joy is abruptly shattered. His sister, Kana, storms in, her demands for breakfast a loud, unwelcome return to his solitary reality. This scene immediately establishes Nakamura's deep yearning for connection and his retreat into imagination.

Nakamura's morning commute is a private torment, oscillating between desire and envy as he observes Hirose. He imagines intimate futon conversations from his manga, then awkwardly practices greetings alone at a crosswalk. His small hopes are then crushed when Hirose introduces Omori Tsukasa, a childhood friend whose easy familiarity wounds Nakamura deeply. A past trauma, where young Nakamura was ridiculed for his love of octopuses, makes him downplay his interest to Hirose, fearing further rejection.

Left alone and defeated, Nakamura falls from his bike and scratches patterns into the dirt, a quiet act of frustration. He is then approached by Aoki Yama Reiko, an eccentric girl who praises his 'ominous' drawings with unsettling enthusiasm. She attempts to recruit him for the 'Art Club,' her movements erratic and strange as she repeatedly blocks his attempts to leave. Nakamura finds her persistence both baffling and a little frightening.

Reiko then shifts her pitch, detailing a local art competition with a 'jinx' that makes drawn wishes come true, sparking Nakamura's hope for a romantic future with Hirose. However, his excitement turns to real terror when Reiko reveals the club's true name: the 'Occult/Horror Research Club.' He attempts to flee, but she chases him down the hallway with an unnatural, crawling speed, desperate to prevent the club's disbandment. This sequence is a masterclass in escalating comedic horror.

Cornered by Reiko, Nakamura is forced to take a bottle of dark red 'Magical Holy Water,' which she claims will bring him luck and ward off evil. She instructs him to reconsider joining if anything good happens within a week. Nakamura is left alone, staring at the suspicious, vibrating bottle, caught between fear of its unknown contents and the faint possibility of its promised power.

Nakamura tentatively uncorks the bottle, recoiling from the foul, sickening stench, convinced it's nothing but rotting ingredients. Yet, throughout the school day, small 'miracles' unfold: Hirose sits beside him, they share a positive moment in gym class, and even a teacher praises him. Each lucky encounter with Hirose makes Nakamura wonder if the grotesque liquid truly holds power, gripping the bottle with growing belief.

After school, Hirose invites Nakamura to walk home together, a simple request that fills Nakamura with immense joy. They share a genuine moment of connection, laughing about their siblings. This shared walk is a peak of happiness for Nakamura, a tangible step towards his dream. Their parting, however, is short-lived, as Nakamura immediately hears a loud, threatening commotion from Hirose's direction.

Nakamura finds Hirose cornered by aggressive punks from 'Mad Road High School,' paralyzed by his own weakness. Desperation leads him to the 'holy water.' Recalling Reiko's words of protection, he drenches himself in the foul liquid, appearing grotesquely bloody. He then charges into the alley, screaming, causing the terrified punks to flee in a panic, convinced they are being attacked by a 'Gakuran Zombie.'

Nakamura attempts to explain his 'juice' disguise to a bewildered Hirose, who then bursts into laughter, praising Nakamura's bravery and unique style. Hirose's genuine laughter and offer of a handkerchief are a profound reward for Nakamura's bizarre heroism. The next day, however, Reiko reveals the 'punks' were a Photography Club, and Nakamura's zombie act won an award. Mortified, he flees her continued recruitment pitch, his triumph tempered by public embarrassment.
