Such a great exploration of what being gay in school feels like, and what it feels like to crush on someone who is seemingly straight and how much it hurts. Very accurate. Broke my heart and built it back up again in every episode. I adore them both.

This episode revolves around a classroom incident that throws everyone into chaos. The expressive animation and great comedic timing make it another charming episode

It's funny how Nakamura's plans always fail but are still considered a success. He's one step closer since there's progress, unlike in episode 1. It's enjoyable to watch, but still not suitable for kids.

I really like how balance the cuteness of the romance with the comedy in this show, because romcom usually means the story will lean into one that they overshadowed the other (Which is perfecly fine), like the cockroach scene where overall is funny, but we get a really cute Nakamura/Hirose moments too. Nakamura himself is very relatable, especially because he's a teen in love, because what he deemed as a guide book is hilarious lol. Can't wait for more!

This is so funny! I’m getting all the secondhand embarrassment for Nakamura T_T.  He is so unhinged omg. Every moment was so hilarious.

Like other episodes, this one perfectly blends awkard humor with relatable everyday life and failures in romance. This time we follow Nakamura as he learns a lesson in taking dating advice from BL manga, and between cringe breaks, the laughter at the absurdist humor doesn't stop!

Nakamura-kun is a trainwreck, but I can't look away 🤣 The awkward yet relatable humor just hits so right~ The yabai moments are effin' hilarious too!! I like the fact that the ED music and visuals are different from the first ep's. I'm amazed they used an authentic retro soundtrack and matched it with such stylish art!

The moment with Hirose and the manga gave me so much second-hand embarrassment..

I like how this series is cringey in a funny way instead of making it so we have to laugh at Nakamura to enjoy it. Though I think it might lean that way. The way the jokes are made don't feel too forced but grounded.

It's starting to feel like Hirose is the one making progress and not Nakamura haha. The episodes are sectioned in a way that makes it feel fresh and unique every time it switches scenes.

You really feel for Nakamura in this episode, trying so hard to impress Hirose with his BL manga knowledge. It's so awkward and cringey sometimes but in the best way possible. His internal monologues are gold, constantly building up these elaborate romantic scenarios in his head only for reality to crash down in the most spectacularly funny fashion. It makes him super relatable even with all his weirdness

The entire class freaking out over a tiny cockroach was hilarious Hirose handling it so calmly is exactly why Nakamura is so smitten

I was seriously cracking up when Nakamura was trying to apply those BL manga scenarios to real life. It never goes as planned, which is just too real for me

The cockroach scene was totally out of left field and had me in stitches what a wild turn of events

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following the premiere's establishment of Nakamura's quiet, flustered infatuation with Hirose, this second episode shifts focus toward the vulnerability of keeping personal feelings and interests hidden in a social environment. It deepens the character foundation before the season moves into more developed interactions between Nakamura and Hirose, making it an early but essential building block for the relationship dynamics that carry the rest of the series.
