Such a great exploration of what being gay in school feels like, and what it feels like to crush on someone who is seemingly straight and how much it hurts. Very accurate. Broke my heart and built it back up again in every episode. I adore them both.

Akhirnya nyoba nonton ini juga dan ternyata melebihi ekspektasi. Soundtrack, art, plot sampe tokoh-tokohnya bagus-bagus. Awkwardnya si Nakamura nyampe sini. Hahaha
Meskipun aku bukan orang yang kek bisa terlalu overreacting gitu tapi benar-benar bisa paham, sih.

The awkward inner monologue was relatable, and I think the humor comes naturally because every tiny interaction feels like a huge event to him.

First things first, the concept of this anime is really not suitable for kids. It's enjoyable to see how Nakamura tries to talk to Hirose, but it never works out. It gives a good first impression of his journey to become friends with Hirose.

Oh to be in love. I heard about this anime because everyone said it was really cute, and it really was! I really like Nakamura and how he's so shy. His imagination is definitely a highlight too, very funny with how different it is with his real self lol, especially that handkerchief scene. The animation is really good too, surprisingly! And the art style is definitely unique. This introduction is really great, I hope to see more cute moment!

WAAAHHHH OMG I’M SO EXCITED. I love gays so much! This is so cute, the slow build up , and the animation were so gooood. Nakamura is just like me fr fr. His reactions definitely feel so real. And why is there a special bg music for Hirose??? OMG I LOVE IT!!!!

The perfect introduction to chaos. The contrast between Nakamura's delinquent appearance and his emotional fragility is pure gold. His first attempt to interact with Hirose is a hilarious disaster.

I have been waiting for this to get animated! Having read the manga before the anime, I look forward to their seeing Hirose and Nakamura animated and interacting makes me feel giddy. Though, I noticed they toned down the octopus scene, probably for the general audience..

MC's octopus scenes make him feel like a fun presence and emphasized his individuality outside liking Hirose. He has so much personality to him and his thoughts being unpredictable elevate the plot!

The animations on this episode were done well and really landed some of the jokes. Everything works well, like the vibrant colors and cute perspective shots. It also stays true to the vibe in the manga really well!
