Episode Context

Episode 98 launches the OWee Arc, a comedy-driven mini-arc centered on the characters' escalating war over a limited-edition gaming console. It follows a pair of standalone comedic episodes and sets up the continuation in episode 99, 'Life and Video Games Are Full of Bugs,' where the console chaos only deepens. Sitting roughly at the midpoint of the series' 201-episode run, this arc is a prime example of Gintama's ability to generate multi-episode storylines from absurd premises.
