Episode Context

Episode 157 kicks off the Otsu Arc, shifting away from the standalone episodes that preceded it into a multi-episode storyline centered on fan club rivalries competing for official recognition. It establishes the core conflict between Shinpachi's traditionalist faction and Toushi's upstart group, setting the stakes for the comedic escalation to come. Sitting roughly three-quarters through the series' 201-episode run, this arc arrives at a point where the show can fully exploit its deep roster of recurring characters for maximum comedic payoff.
