Episode Context

Episode 22 kicks off a multi-episode body-swap arc between Gintoki and Hijikata, shifting gears from the preceding standalone summer comedy episodes into a more sustained storyline. It sits near the midpoint of Season 4's 51-episode run, bridging lighter one-offs with arcs that further explore the Yorozuya-Shinsengumi dynamic. This setup promises escalating consequences as both characters are forced deeper into each other's worlds.
