EPISODE CONTEXT
This is the third episode of the 13-episode Enchousen season, continuing the Kintoki arc that kicked off in the prior episodes where Gintoki discovered he'd been replaced and began fighting to reclaim his identity. The conflict between Gintoki and his doppelgänger deepens here, building momentum toward episode 4, 'The Meaning of a Main Character,' which promises a decisive escalation of their rivalry.
