Episode Context

Arriving at episode 85 of 100, this installment pushes the series toward its endgame, following the more atmospherically driven 'Noderabou! The Bell Which Echoes in the Darkness of Night' with a shift toward direct, high-stakes confrontation. It continues the long-running pattern of Kitarō and his companions facing increasingly dangerous yōkai threats, while setting the stage for the eerie 'Fear Approaching From Behind! Ushirogami' in episode 86, suggesting the supernatural dangers are only intensifying as the series nears its conclusion.
