This episode was very emotional. It was nice to see the old Leon slowly coming back and finding a new purpose to keep moving forward in life. We can also see how desperate he was to ask Alfonso for help because he knew deep inside that he couldn’t do anything without the power of a Makai Knight to face the Horror, which was kind of sad to watch as he begged helplessly.

An episode filled with reflection and a cold winter environment that breaks from past intensity. The idea of characters growing was one that I enjoyed greatly especially how the tension between them would be replaced by understanding.

This ep is a total masterclass in storytelling and Leon’s redemption arc is honestly peak. We finally get the quiet character depth needed to see him rebuild his life, and the snowy village setting is beautiful.
