Episode Context

Coming directly off Albert and the Count's first encounter in the premiere, this episode consolidates their relationship as the series' central dynamic before the Count's full arrival into Parisian society begins in the episodes ahead. It functions as the emotional foundation, establishing how much Albert trusts the Count and, crucially, how much that trust may be misplaced. Everything that follows in the season depends on what is built here.
