We get the backstory of Kaname and why he created Bear. This episode is really heartwarming and a tearjerker. The dialogue adds up to the wistful vibe, with the animation tying it all up. Definitely one of the most expressive and emotion-inducing episodes in this series.

Episode Context

Positioned at episode 22 of 26, this marks a clear pivot from the academic stakes of the Honor Student arc into more personal, character-driven territory. The emotional groundwork laid here around Kaname and the consequences of Alice usage directly sets the stage for the final stretch, beginning with 'The Circus Has Arrived,' where external forces start threatening the academy's stability and the relationships built throughout the series face new pressure.
