You have to feel for the soldiers when those mannequin things started coming out of the shadows because they were so creepy and the regular guns didn't do anything to stop them

Bradley just walking back into Central while everyone was celebrating their win felt like a punch to the stomach because those Briggs soldiers were so happy before they saw him at the gate

The quiet talk between Riza and Scar in the sewers was great because it showed how much their relationship has changed since they were enemies at the start

Olivier is such a presence in this episode and her words about adults needing to pave the way for kids really felt important while she was standing her ground against Sloth

I was really starting to think the Briggs crew actually pulled off the coup when they were cheering in the command center, but then King Bradley had to ruin the party. Seeing him standing there alone while everyone froze was terrifying. Sig and Alex becoming best friends instantly while they pulverized Sloth through the floors was the perfect bit of comedy

Watching Alex and Sig bond over their muscles while they were beating Sloth was hilarious and I liked that Izumi joined the fight by throwing a homunculus like it was nothing

The conversation between Hohenheim and Father underground really got to me because it feels like Father is just a lonely kid trying to reject his own humanity and my heart broke because Father acts like he is trying to hide how lonely he is

The scene with the mannequin soldiers was actually terrifying, especially since the regular guns did nothing to stop those things from eating people

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the devastating confrontations in 'Beyond the Inferno,' this episode channels the momentum into strategic escalation, placing veteran fighters at the center of Brotherhood's endgame push. It functions as a critical bridge in the final act, deepening the conflict and raising personal stakes before 'The Return of the Fuhrer' threatens to upend everything. At episode 55 of 64, the series is fully committed to its climactic trajectory — every scene here is load-bearing for the finale.
