Episode Context

Coming off Episode 6's deepening of Tohru's friendships, this episode widens the lens by bringing new Sohma members into the fold, signaling that the story is ready to move beyond the core trio. It functions as a pivotal bridge in the first season's structure, grounding viewers in warmth and humor before Episode 8 pulls back the curtain on heavier Sohma family secrets and Tohru's increasing entanglement with the curse.
