Seeing the cracks form in their friend group as the village's manipulation becomes undeniable is so painful. The way Mamoru's fear is handled makes for some of the most grounded tension yet. I really start to feel how small and trapped they are .

Again, heavy lore drops from surprisingly Satoru's grandmother of all people, and things become a lot clearer. Satoru's personality has evolved into being somewhat likeable, Mamoru, however, is still the whiny ass lil wuss that he always was. Cut off the weak link!

This episode highlights a tragic past that changes how you see everything. Seeing the scale of what was lost makes their current struggle feel even more desperate, as if they are fighting against a history that is already written in blood.
