Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Episode 10
⚡ ALL REVIEWS
From pacing to visuals, the episode beautifully captures how moments with others, though fleeting, leave lasting impressions that shape a lifetime. It’s a subtle but powerful reflection on the value of every encounter.
This is where my journey ends. There's been occasions where I've disagreed with those proposing that a significant piece of a story should've been linearly told prior to the events being presently explored. This is a prime example. Can't bring myself to prize it like the rest.
This episode stands out because it shows power through calmness, not loud action. In terms of world-building and lore, the episode is very strong. The direction and visuals are cinematic but restrained. Overall, Episode 10 is powerful because it is calm, tense, and intelligent. I
It’s awesome that we get to see Frieren’s past and understand what truly makes her so special, showing her life with Flamme and comparing it to the present while brilliantly explaining why she earned her “Slayer” title among the demons.
Frieren telling Aura to "kill yourself" with no flashy power-up, just a brutal reveal of how much she outclasses everyone is so cool. Peak fantasy right there.
FRIEREN carefully teaches Fern while remembering the friends she’s lost and the years that slipped by. Her quiet pauses, soft laughter, and small gestures reveal regret and care, making this chapter deeply moving, reflective, and filled with subtle heartbreak.
This episode was such an eyecandy to watch visually and the storytelling was of the same level. In this episode, we get to know how badass of a character Frieren is.
The show does an unexpected twist by showing how much firepower Frieren actually has and gives you a small glimpse of how powerful Frieren actually is. The slow realization of the demon on how hopeless their situation is and finally cutting to her head falling of is jawdropping
Indeed a visual spectacle, a foreshadowing of Frieren's true powers as the story progresses. I love how the story goes back to the past, revealing a piece of history and moves to its present without dragging the story in itself. A must-watch!
A quiet but impactful setup episode that emphasizes experience over spectacle. Through subtle interactions and atmosphere, it explores how reputation and longevity shape perceptions of power, preparing the stage for a high-stakes evaluation arc. Rating: 9.5/10
Flamme is a bad-ass MF, she basically deleted 3 powerful foes in a second. Now I understand why she is Frieren's master. And then, Frieren just showed Aura that there's levels to this. The walk off without looking was just chef's kiss.
That one was a satisfying episode. It showed Fieren's backstory with the Great Mage Flamme, how she was taken in by her and how she was trained. It also showed how long Fieren had lived to be considered a powerful mage. Great episode that left a satisfying feeling for me.
story is fiiiiire watched it 3 more times for the hype
Oh wow I did not expect Frieren to aurafarm that hard (pun intended). The way she said, "Aura, kill yourself," gave me GOOSEBUMPS. Fern is so good with her AK-47 technique. I was scared for her but she proved that we didn't need to worry. Stark also handled himself well.
Great example of demon's arrogant behavior in which led her get punished.
i like strak showing how he get his confidence back while fighting with the dragon because friren and fern tell him that he is actualy strong it just his master tell him he is not.
