This episode is all about emotional buildup, and it works because Rei steps up, Rin gets challenged, and the tension before the race feels just as important as the race itself

This episode is deeper than it looks 🤓 because Rei basically breaks down the meaning of the relay in a way that challenges Rin’s entire mindset. He points out that Rin is chasing a memory while destroying the exact thing that made that memory special, team connection.
