Flowers of Evil

Synopsis
Takao Kasuga, a high school student fascinated by poetry, reveres Charles Baudelaire and even decorates his room with the poet's portrait. On a normal day, Takao forgets his copy of The Flowers of Evil in the classroom. When returning to retrieve it, he steals the sports garments of Nanako Saeki—a model student who Takao calls his muse and a femme fatale. Deeply ashamed of his act which he sees as a sin and what others see as a crime, Takao realizes with horror that Sawa Nakamura, his classmate and social outcast, knows about his theft. Blackmailed by her, Takao is now forced to partake in Sawa's disturbing fantasies, lest she reveals his deeds to everyone. Caught in a negative spiral of increasingly traumatic experiences, will Takao be able to break free from Sawa's thorns and atone for his sins?

Looking at the episode, the power dynamic between the leads becomes terrifying. The most intense sequence is when Nakamura pushes Kasuga to "reveal" his true self. My opinion about the graphics is that the lighting during the evening scenes is moody and depressing.
The anticipated ending is just straight up confusing and just simply, not a good resolution for the whole 12 episode prior. All the while Nakamura remain hateable as usual.. That last flash barrage of something that hasn't happen probably is a marketing strategy for its manga
The ending really felt like a true cliffhanger. In addition to that, i feel a bit dissapointed that there is a lot of static image which seems like the studio want to stretch the episode as an excuse to make an additional episode. Especially with this kind ofcliffhanging
This time around MC and their parent interaction is one of the focus of the story. On the other hand, the other part mainly about MC realization which to be honest, quite irrelevant based on clue he was given and felt like it happen just for the sake of it
The character interaction is quite deep on this episode. Everyone but Nakamura felt so vulnerable to each other, discussing each other acceptance toward their own situation. Along with that that is a nice, cozy rain sfx that enhance the atmosphere
That was totally unexpected. Just when i thought one of the biggest worries of MC is about to be solved, another even bigger conflict is happening as a consequence of the former. Felt like a trade-off
Wow, that was such an unexpected turn of event, plot armor level of coincedence right there which dissapoint me a bit. This episode also show unnecessarily long walking animation with barely any dialogue for no reason to the point it felt like act as a filler
This episode gives such a mixed feeling toward the MC. On one hand, im glad he manage to vent off his frustation, but on the other hand, i felt like MC is just getting degraded even further.
Alright, now the episode is back to being a proper thriller story once again. Considering that, it also reinforce my belief that prior episode is just a messed, unnecessary part of the story. Glad its watchable again
Stuff kept getting weird especially this episode. Honestly i'm not a fan of this kind of "service" since i deemed it to extreme to my liking. I kept convincing myself that such is important for the lore and character building, but to be honest, stuff started to feel uncomfortable
