Episode Context

Coming directly off the establishment of Souther's brutal regime, episode 59 pivots from world-building the threat to answering it. Kenshiro's encounter with Shu marks the beginning of a collaborative resistance arc against the South Star's tyranny. This is a critical connective episode that transitions the series from identifying the new antagonist to rallying the forces that will challenge him. The groundwork laid here for Kenshiro and Shu's alliance will shape the trajectory of the episodes ahead.
