Episode Context

Sitting at roughly the halfway mark of the full 109-episode run, this episode follows the confrontation with Yuda's deception in Blue Town and deepens Rei's personal arc as his fate becomes increasingly dire. It serves as a critical emotional pivot, shifting focus from pure combat escalation to the human cost driving these battles. The groundwork laid here feeds directly into the coming episodes that will resolve Rei's storyline and further define Kenshiro's journey through the wasteland.
