Episode Context

Episode 22 closes out the Southern Cross arc, the series' first major storyline, resolving the Kenshiro-Shin-Julia triangle that has driven the narrative since episode one. The chaos of Barcom's mutiny in the preceding episode destabilized Shin's empire from within, setting the stage for this climactic resolution. With only 22 of 109 episodes complete, this turning point clears the board for entirely new threats, rivalries, and deeper explorations of Hokuto Shinken's legacy.
