EPISODE REVIEWS

Now that he has new abilities, Bruns finally tells him the truth behind the incident 12 years ago. Best cliffhanger ever. You would really expect a season 2. Love the animation of the short sparring with Burns again. Shinra finally got stronger!

Episode Context

As episode 24 of 24, this is the definitive season closer, following directly from the revelations dropped in 'Smile' and channeling the accumulated narrative momentum into a deeply personal reckoning for Shinra. The episode serves as both a culmination of the season's escalating mystery surrounding Shinra's backstory and a deliberate bridge into Season 2, reframing the protagonist's motivations heading forward. Rather than wrapping every thread, it prioritizes emotional closure on Shinra's arc while ensuring the larger world-building questions carry genuine urgency into the next season.
