The episode opens with the desolate aftermath of the Great Cataclysm, a blue planet reduced to a second sun, then to black flames and despair. Haumea, the Evangelist, appears, her face marked by tears, proclaiming humanity's wish for an end has been granted. Shinra and Shou stand against this backdrop of cosmic desolation, Shinra’s young face contorted in deep despair, his belief shattered. He sees only the end.

Shou, in his demonic form, defies Haumea, while she, in turn, pleads for the salvation of death, her crown heavy with sorrow. Shinra, also in a demonic guise, promises to end her suffering, only to be struck down by a powerful blue lightning bolt. It is then that Arthur Boyle, ever the oblivious knight, appears, demanding Shinra reaffirm his identity: hero or demon. He challenges Shinra to rise above his despair, even if the world itself has given up.

Despite his pain and tears, Shinra is jolted by Arthur's persistent questioning, remembering his childhood self, caped and flying, a hero. He cries out his despair, blaming himself for Company 8's demise, but then, a shift. Wiping his tears, he declares, 'Because I'm a hero.' He refuses to let the world end this way; it is his hope.

A gentle flashback transports us to a time before the fire, showing a young Shinra, his mother, and baby Shou in a warm, domestic scene. Shinra, full of youthful exuberance, acts as 'Shinraman,' promising to protect his family from an impending solar eclipse. They share a tender moment, bathed in the red-orange glow of the eclipse, unaware of the tragedy to come. This past happiness is now a poignant counterpoint to Shinra's current desperation.

Back in the desolate present, Shinra embraces his mother's doppelganger and Shou, his face filled with guilt over his past failure to protect them. The Evangelist, through the doppelganger, mockingly asks if he's given up. Shinra, recalling Arthur's words, reaffirms his purpose, now fueled by the friends he has made. He accepts that his mother is part of the Evangelist, a vessel for humanity's despair, and asks Shou to care for her.

Shinra charges, demonstrating renewed resolve, breaking through a protective barrier around the Evangelist with a powerful kick. He announces his intention to create a 'breeze.' Haumea, channeling the power of Amaterasu, tries to overwhelm him, but Shinra refuses to yield. He extends his hand, uniting with Shou and his mother's spirit, initiating a 'Soul Resonance.' From this union, the powerful new form, Shinra Banshoman, is born, a beacon of hope against despair.

Shinra Banshoman confronts Haumea, declaring that hope will not cease. Haumea questions his understanding, believing hope only brings suffering, unleashing waves of despair. She insists humanity's collective unconscious desires an end. Shinra Banshoman retorts that being 'interesting' is everything, and that he acts 'because I'm human.' He perceives Haumea as a 'Despair Saint,' lamenting her sad fate.

Shinra Banshoman dismisses Haumea's pleas, releasing flower petals that banish the black smoke and create a vibrant field of flowers. He conjures a giant smiling whale from the blue energy, a seemingly comical yet profound act of creation. This new world is bathed in peace, birds, giraffes, and fish appearing. This profound transformation is a stark contrast to the despair that previously consumed the planet.

The miraculous rebirth of the planet is not without its critics. Arthur observes the 'Flame Star' becoming a blue planet, but Haumea, distraught, condemns Shinra Banshoman as an 'evil spirit' who irresponsibly created hell on Earth again. She argues that his actions ignore humanity's true, unconscious will for an end. Shou, still within Shinra Banshoman, expresses worry, realizing this act only momentarily regenerates the world; despair will inevitably return.

As black shadows try to silence Shinra Banshoman, Shinra himself, through Shou, reaffirms his commitment to hope, despite the lingering despair Haumea carries. Shinra Banshoman reveals he achieved this complex act of creation by repeatedly stopping and reversing time, showcasing an unwavering, almost stubborn, optimism. He reiterates that the Adolla Burst is also a flame of rebirth, ready to transform Haumea's tears into something new.

Shinra Banshoman completes his creation, a city built entirely of flowers, a testament to his persistent optimism. The Earth is now a vibrant blue planet, observed by Arthur and other characters worldwide. Fire Force members, various citizens, and even animals react with a mix of shock, awe, and confusion. Captain Obi and Hinawa find their collapsed teammates, while Shinra Banshoman maintains a confident, wide smile.
