Assassin is actually terrifying. The direction is so cinematic for a TV show. It feels like a movie every week. A-1 isn't missing at all.

The fight animation is so intense, even the camera angles are intentional. Looks like we have a lot more character intros coming and the plot will only get crazier from here

The reveal of the new servants are so epic, we got another three-way fight out of it. I don't know what to expect in the coming episodes because of this development in the plot but I'm seated!

This was such a great episode with badass fight scenes that made me have a lot of questions about the characters and the story itself. Though honestly, I still can’t help but find Saber hilarious at times. Lol.

Intense fight scenes with chef’s-kiss animation. That was seriously good. But what made this episode even better was seeing Ayaka and Saber’s dynamic getting stronger. Their interactions are becoming more fun to watch as the story progresses.

Some intense fight scenes featuring the new characters, along with Gilgamesh and Tiné. While all of that chaos was happening, what the heck was Saber even doing? 😭😭 This was so unserious, but I can’t deny that it’s exactly what makes this series even more interesting.

Most of the episode consisted of combat between Gilgamesh, Hippolyta and Alcides. The jump between the two and Richard and Ayaka's scenes were a jump cut and extremely sudden. The chaos of the war is already unfolding.

The scenes between Ayaka and Richard were a fun watch. Him learning the guitar was so unexpected! Although Ayaka is understandably distanced from both him and the war, due to her being dragged into it.

The pacing this episode is chefs kiss. Scenes are actually allowed to BREATHE instead of rushing through everything. Orlando and Francesca's conversation carries so much weight. The direction elevates even dialogue scenes into something cinematic. So good.

Episode 4's greatest strength is its pacing discipline. Allowing dialogue scenes to breathe while maintaining tension is difficult, and the direction executes it flawlessly. The cinematography during simple conversations rivals the action sequences. Mature storytelling.

Francesca visiting Orlando is giving the most dangerous tea party energy and I am HERE FOR IT. The tension between them is electric even though they're just talking. This show makes dialogue scenes feel as intense as fights. The character writing is insane.

Another banger episode!, the opening fight between gilgamesh and true archer is great, then the entrance of true riders is perfect and we got battle between 3 servants, which is perfectly animated, the hype moment is when the servant reveal their name, especially saber in the end

I was pretty shocked that Gilgamesh met his match! Hippolyta sounds like a very righteous character who may be interesting to watch in the long run as well. So many of the characters are being introduced slowly.

Fate is always big on usage of sound and this ep definitely showcased it during the battle. As an anime only watcher, the name drops made my jaw drop oh my god. Especially the ending! Perfect cliffhanger, leaves you wanting more.

Finally featuring another definitive battle yet between Servants, but unfortunately cut short by an interloper, a Caster. Very explosive fight scene compared to Hansa vs. Jester. We get to see a bit of the extent of the abilities between Gilgamesh, Hippolyta and Alcides. SUBLIME!

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the explosive police station confrontation in Episode 3, 'The Canon of Demigods' raises the stakes by broadening the battlefield and introducing new Servant dynamics and shifting alliances. Sitting at roughly the one-third mark of the season, this episode serves as a crucial bridge — it transitions from initial clashes into the larger web of conflict. It directly sets the stage for Episode 5's 'Stars' Banquet,' which promises an even grander convergence of forces.
