Episode Context

This episode serves as the true entry point into the Memory Bureau world, picking up the threads established in the earlier short-film prequel and expanding them into a full serialized context. It plants the core tensions around Guan Chao's relationship with memory and regret that will drive the season's psychological conflicts across all seven episodes. Everything here is setup, and the strange organizations and unanswered questions introduced are designed to pay off as the season deepens.
