Wow this episode turned into some political thriller as the Emperor was obsessed about who wrote the calligraphy. I like that this anime isn't just all about action and the dialogue here was certainly not boring. The character writing for the Emperor was also interesting.

Okay one thing, the imperial guard promotion was cool but it felt a little fast, like they needed to give Ning Que a reason to stay involved in the capital politics. Though its good I'll say. It does have some unexpected bits here and there. It is very engaging though.

I love the way the main character just declined that opportunity. The episode is keeps me at the edge of my seat, i can't even expect what should happen next. Damn this is so good!
