As the last one gasps out recognition, naming him the 'Woodcutter of Wei City,' Ning Que finishes the job without a word. He adjusts his scarf, his eyes reflecting the flickering flames with chilling indifference, then whistles for his horse and rides into the rising sun.

A stark contrast arrives with Princess Li Yu's meticulously organized caravan, guarded by elite soldiers in red armor. Their passage through the dusty wasteland speaks of royal importance and strict discipline. The caravan enters Wei City, a remote outpost, its towering walls a temporary refuge from the wilderness. In the dimly lit barracks, Ning Que is seen winning a gambling game with his fellow soldiers, a picture of relaxed confidence. In a post-credits scene, the tone shifts abruptly. Ning Que and Sang Sang are in a desolate, rocky area, but their black horse is missing. Ning Que is frantic, shouting for the animal in disbelief, utterly bewildered at how they could have lost their most vital asset so quickly. Sang Sang, with unnerving calm, pulls out a heavy pouch of money, revealing she sold the horse for seventy taels, finding it 'too expensive to feed.' Ning Que stares in stunned silence before collapsing to the ground, lamenting that they now have to walk the rest of the way to Chang'an, ending the episode on a humorous note.
