📖 SYNOPSIS
Nao isn't a real person — she's a replica, a clone born from a girl named Sunao Aikawa's wish to have someone take her place at school on days she can't deal with it. Nao has no life of her own. She shows up, sits in Sunao's seat, mimics her mannerisms, and disappears when she's no longer needed. Nobody knows she exists, and that's the whole point. But then a classmate named Akiya Sanada starts noticing things — small things, like the way she responds to questions or the way her expressions don't quite match. He's the first person to realize she's not Sunao. And just like that, Nao has something she was never supposed to have: someone who sees her. Their deal is simple — talk to her only when her hair is half-up, that's how you know it's Nao and not the original. It's a small, quiet signal, but it becomes the foundation for something neither of them expected. This is a romantic drama wrapped in a supernatural premise, but the real heart of it is about whether someone created to be a copy can become their own person. If you liked the bittersweet identity stuff in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions or the slow-burn emotional tension of Isshiki-san wa Koi o Shiritai, this sits in that same space. Studio Voil is adapting it for 2026, and the light novel source material gives it room to go deep on the feelings without rushing.
