Episode Context

Two episodes from the finale, 'Waking Nightmare' operates at the intersection of psychological tension and ethical reckoning. This is a slower-burning, introspective chapter that earns its suspense through character work rather than spectacle. Kai, Eiji, and Asakura each face the weight of choices that can no longer be deferred, and the episode leans hard into moral ambiguity, no one emerges with clean hands. The pacing is deliberate but purposeful, alternating between charged confrontations and quieter moments of doubt. Expect the mood to feel unsettled and pressing, like the calm before a storm that is already halfway here. If you have been invested in these characters' loyalties and fractures, this installment will hit with real force.
